The vehicle's electrical system is tested before it leaves the production line

We help manufacturers of land vehicles and wiring harnesses verify the functionality of electrical systems at every stage—from the harness itself to the complete wiring installation in the vehicle. We test signals—not just their presence.

What We Test

Wire Harnesses

  • Automotive Ethernet — SQI verification
  • Coaxial cables — VNA measurements up to 6 GHz
  • Multi-wire harnesses — short circuits, intermittent contact
  • High-speed interfaces (H-MTD, …)

Vehicle Electrical System

  • Measurement of resistance, voltage levels, and switching
  • Simulation of analog signals and sensors
  • CAN buses and control units
  • Vehicle assembly simulator
Why Does It Matter

A cable that passes a continuity test is not yet a functional cable. High-speed interfaces require signal quality—impedance, insertion loss, and SQI. A defect that is not detected by a signal presence test will only become apparent when the vehicle is in operation.

Once a wiring harness is connected to the vehicle’s electrical system, a second layer of risk is introduced: mix-ups, intermittent connections, and errors in the configuration of control units. Manually measuring the entire electrical system is not a repeatable process in mass production—and subjective judgment cannot be recorded in an audit report. Measurements, however, can be.

How We Handle It

For wiring harness manufacturers, we build test stations for functional verification prior to installation in a vehicle. For vehicle manufacturers, we build diagnostic systems that verify the entire electrical system after installation—repeatably, using the same sequence for each unit.

  • Test infrastructure designed for a specific type of cabling and signal
  • A clear-cut OK/NOK result based on measured data
  • A complete audit trail for each item
  • Transition from a one-time validation to a repeatable production test

KG-VDS: Diagnosis of a land vehicle's electrical system

The KG-VDS system was deployed at a land vehicle manufacturer to verify the entire electrical system after the wiring harness was connected to the vehicle's electronics—repeatedly, with a full audit trail.

A repeatable testing process with a complete record of results for each vehicle. No vehicle leaves the production line without a verified electrical system.
